Dave Ng

Dave is a General Partner at Altara Ventures. He is a seasoned investor, entrepreneur, business manager, and currently sits on multiple boards, providing strategic and business guidance to companies.

Dave most recently served as Head of Southeast Asia at Eight Roads Ventures, where he managed the office and team based out of Singapore with regional and cross-border coverage. Dave served on the boards of LeadIQ, Silot, Akulaku and also co-managed the firm's investment in StashAway.

Prior to that, Dave was a Venture Partner at B Capital, where he joined as a founding member of the firm in the US and moved to Asia as its first member to set up presence on the ground. At B Capital, Dave served on the boards of Ninja Van, Capital Match and CXA, and co-managed the firm’s investment in Icertis, Carro and Mswipe, all of which were investments he co-led.

Prior to B Capital, Dave was a Director at Oracle, where he led the Cloud and Converged Infrastructure business strategy and investments. Before that, he was an early employee at Zuora, leading strategy, operations, expansion and enablement of its global services function. Earlier on in his career, Dave was a management consultant at the Boston Consulting Group in its Southeast Asia office, advising corporates in China, Singapore, Malaysia and Australia.

Dave earned his Master in International Development from Harvard University. He also graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with triple degrees of Master and Bachelor in Computer Engineering, as well as a Bachelor in Economics (minor in Business), all with University and College Honors.
